Bayaaz does not collect, transmit or store any of your data on our systems, because Bayaaz has no systems. This page explains exactly what that means.

What Bayaaz stores

When you keep a passage, Bayaaz saves it using your browser's own extension storage on your own computer. That record contains the text you highlighted, the page title, the source URL and the date. We never see it. It is never uploaded anywhere.

What Bayaaz sends

Nothing. The extension makes no network requests. It has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no advertising or tracking code of any kind. It does not use cookies. It contains no third-party SDKs.

What Bayaaz can read

Bayaaz reads the text you select on a page, and only at the moment you ask it to keep that selection. It does not read pages in the background, it does not monitor your browsing, and it does not maintain any history of the sites you visit.

Deleting your excerpts

Use Clear in the panel to remove excerpts, or remove the extension from Chrome — uninstalling deletes its storage. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Exported files

When you export a Markdown file or save a card as an image, your browser writes that file to a location you choose on your own device. The file does not pass through us.

This website

feltlife.art is a set of static pages. We run no analytics on it and set no cookies. The typefaces are served from our own domain, so loading a page involves no third party at all. If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply to you.

If a paid version arrives

A paid tier of Bayaaz is planned. If and when it launches, payments will be handled by Paddle acting as merchant of record — meaning Paddle, not Feltlife, processes your card details and holds your billing information. We will never see or store a card number. This page will be updated before any such change takes effect, and the offline design of the extension itself will not change.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or erase personal data a company holds about you. In our case the honest answer is that, unless you have emailed us, we hold none. If you would like to ask anyway, write to hello@feltlife.art and we will respond within 30 days.
